It is my keen desire to see the 'konkaniworld' website strengthening the bonds between Konkani speaking people around the world, usher unity and brotherhood between us.

We, the Konkani speaking people, due to various historical reasons, are scattered in different parts of India, and in Countries around the world. We have grown up through different cultures and traditions of the places, which we call home. Although scattered in different countries, we all have a common bond - our mother tongue "Konkani".
 
Even though the Konkanis represent just around half percent of India's population, we have made remarkable contributions to all walks of life. 'Konkani', a mellifluous language, is spoken by a diverse spectrum of people belonging to the three major faiths i.e, Christianity, Hinduism and Islam reflecting the unity through diversity. Thus, the Konkans have contributed to India's heritage of pluralism , oneness and harmony in a big way.

The primary objective of creating this website is to provide a common platform to all Konkans a ready reference channel in their day-to-day life. It is particularly aimed at the younger generation Konkans, who are born and brought up in foreign countries as their parents either took up overseas assignments or have migrated to countries of their choice. We will try our best to provide them the basic knowledge of the konkani language and assist them to converse in konkani.

It is my dream to provide a common platform for Konkans at large, a forum for the Konkans, and run by Konkans, This website is your forum and we need your support to make it an effective tool to unite the Konkanis around the world.
